It is very important that customers choose the right person for the job, especially when it is to do with GAS. DO NOT take ANY chance with gas work and always ensure that a GAS SAFE person carries out the work. The following points are as a guide to employ the right person for the job:

Always check that the tradesperson is a GAS SAFE registered individual, thereafter, check with the awarding body register.
Where possible read reviews that has been left for their work, experience and dealing with customers
Ask for a breakdown of the work and the cost related to the work. Once satisfied and the work is understood then agree to the work
Avoid tradespersons that ask for upfront payment, and NEVER hand over money if not totally satisfied with the work, and ask for receipt of work where possible
